Dialogue primarily focuses on sharing knowledge and skills about how Community Performance is used in the contexts of International Development, Education and Young People. Given the different contexts and communities in which our Stakeholder Partners work, our documentation work may occasionally diverge somewhat from these three areas of our focus.
However, Dialogue believes this to be a natural step as Community Performance work is often interdisciplinary by its nature, with organisations and practitioners applying socially engaged Performance in a range of different fields. Indeed, we will be looking to expand our areas of focus in the fullness of time, especially within our Archival programme that will utilise resources from a variety of sectors in order to be most beneficial to our Partners.
Such different sectors include (but are not limited to):
- Disability
- Community Building
- Education
- Emotional & Psychological Therapy
- Geriatric Support (e.g. Elderly Reminiscence)
- Gender & Sexuality
- Health & Wellbeing
- Humanitarian Crises;
- Human Rights
- International Development
- Migration, Resettlement and Displacement
- Museums & Heritage
- Peace & Conflict
- Prisons & the Criminal Justice System
- Social Innovation
- Trade & Commerce
- Young People
