Yao Yao: Audience Reactions

Fantasies and dreams come alive on stage!

Yao Yao was produced by BRUSH Theatre and was directed by Kiljun Lee, performed by Actors Byungwook Cho and Heeae Lee, with musical contributions by Sangguon Seo.

This magical piece of Theatre centres on the character of Yao Yao, who wishes more than anything to spend time with her Dad. Regardless of her struggles to see more of him, he takes his big black briefcase and leaves. As he does, a thread from his jacket unravels and Yao Yao is able to use it as a vehicle to travel to an imaginary and fantastical world which comes alive onstage.

Myrto Papoulia (Facilitator & Documenter)
Myrto has experience of working both as a Primary School Teacher and as a Theatre Artist. Bringing these two interests together, she now works as an Applied Theatre Practitioner within Drama Education contexts. As a founding member of theatre group, PAZL, she designs and facilitates process drama projects for children and young people. A member of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama and Education Network, she has worked on several Applied Theatre projects, including performance making projects with community groups and projects with Roma children in Educational settings.
